The Pita Pit explains that they were “founded on the idea that people want an exciting alternative to fast food restaurants—a place with great tasting food that’s healthy, fresh, and still served fast.” Continue Reading

Black Forest Deli

Category : Bethlehem, Restaurant Reviews, The Lehigh Valley

I heard about the Black Forest Deli or BFD on Twitter from one of the other LV bloggers. He raved about the food and his back and forth tweets with the deli owner sparked my interest so I decided this was a place that needed to be tried. The deli is located at 745 7th Ave in Bethlehem, on the corner of 7th and Union, close to both Rt. 378 and Broad St. They serve a wide variety of deli foods and a good number of home-made Russian meals and have been in operation since 1997. The deli was voted best deli by the Readers Choice Awards so we set out to find out why.

I headed over with a friend on a Tuesday afternoon and found a close parking space on the street. The deli didn’t look like much from the outside but that didn’t discourage us. We walked in and were greeted by a friendly face and an overwhelming smell of pure deliciousness. It smelled like home. Continue Reading
