YAY! Allentown Restaurant week is upon us! It’s like a food
lovers Christmas and birthday all wrapped up into one delicious week. This week was a hard choice to pick where we would eat. All the different restaurants sounded so good! We picked a place neither my wife nor myself had ever heard of, looked up the reviews on line, checked the menu for the week and headed out.
Downtown Allentown is trying with all its might to clean up and bring people out. I think without the influx of new restaurants it wouldn’t be anywhere near what it is today. It turns out that Bay Leaf has been in the same area for a very long time. We got here at about 6:30pm and found a parking space right in front. The meters are free after 6 so we didn’t have to fool around with change and headed right in. Bay Leaf touts itself as New American food with a Thai influence. The décor gives you exactly that feeling too. Very contemporary with a definite Asian touch. We had a choice of seat and decided on a seat next to the front window. If there’s one thing I like as much as food and drink it’s people watching. Continue Reading
